About Cobb's Comedy Club
In comedy, timing is crucial, but so is where you spend your time when you’re starting out. Many young comedians get their start at Cobb’s Comedy Club in San Francisco’s North Beach, a storied venue of big names and big laughs. The club was first named Cobb’s Pub in its original incarnation in the Marina District, which opened in 1982. Cobb’s Comedy Club relocated five years later to a location at the Cannery Shopping Center in Fisherman’s Wharf. Cobb’s brought the laughs to Fisherman’s Wharf for a quarter-century before a fire forced a move in 2002. The comedy club’s current location on Columbus Avenue can seat 400 customers, serve great food and attract top comedic talent. Past guests have included Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Paula Poundstone, Dave Chapelle, Louis CK and Dave Attell. Through the years and the multitudes of satisfied fans, Cobb’s has continued to develop young comedians and provide a venue for them to hone their talents. Traffic can be tight in North Beach, so it can be hard to find Cobb’s Comedy Club parking without knowing where to look. You can find the best Cobb’s Comedy Club parking when you book ahead of time with ParkWhiz.
