Any Mariners fan will tell you he longs for the days of "Refuse to Lose."Since its inception in 18 years ago, Mariners fans still had no idea what it was like to see their team in the playoffs in the summer of 1995. With their boys 13 games behind California late in the season, a 16th season without postseason games or Mariners parking was an inevitability.

Suddenly, Seattle began winning games in dramatic fashion, coining the "refuse to lose" slogan. With the help of an epic Angels collapse, the Mariners found themselves playing in playoff games in a packed Kingdome. A comeback out of a 2-0 hole in the divisional series added to the magic and advanced the Mariners to the American League Championship Series before bowing out.

The bad news for Mariners fans is the days of "refuse to lose" are long gone, and the postseason drought is back. The good news is the outdated Kingdome is no more, and now Mariners have a state-of-the-art ballpark and ParkWhiz for its T-Mobile Park parking.

It wasn't fair to cage Mariners fans inside a dome with such a beautiful city surrounding them. Now Mariners fans have an outdoor ballpark (with a retractable roof) with breathtaking views of the Seattle skyline to the north and Mount Rainier to the south. Equipped with that "retro-modern" style so many new ballparks boast, T-Mobile Park gives you that old-time baseball feeling. It also shows off that wild Pacific Northwest persona by letting its mascot, the Mariner Moose, roam the grassy field.

Nothing wild or retro about former Safeco Field parking, though, as long as you've got ParkWhiz in mind to book in advance.
